For Reading we are learning about poha which is something that Maori people used in the old days.

Anzac Mascot

For reading this week we didn't have a book to read we had to study about Anzac mascots. We Had to read about real mascots that were in the war and then we had to make our own mascot My mascots name is Brave Bear its a bear that helps soldiers.

Week 6 Reading

This week we are reading a book called heather the weather girl, it was about a girl who got struct by lighting and then she good predict the weather. These are the activities.

Week 4 Reading activites

For reading this week we were reading a story called best friends it was about how there was a cat and a dog who were best friends and they were always together they never separate but one day the cat went for a walk without telling the dog and when the dog went looking it saw the cat was on the road not alive and then he quickly carried her to their owners place and luckily the cat was saved.

So that was the story and these are the activities.

Week 9 BlogPost

Hello Bloggers, this week for reading we were reading a story called The Game. I think It was pretty cool because it was about a space game that you had to play. So for our task we had to make our own game controller and list what the controls are. This is my one.

For Reading this week We were reading a story about a Artist so we had to use his tips and make a drawing from a story. My Story is the Chracter Description were I choosed to describe Spongebob.
So I am going to show some sentences from my writing then show the Picture I drew.

Spongebob is a crack up sponge Just like a comedian. His finest friends are patrick and squidward but squidward is always going BLAH BLAH BLAH. He works at the Krusty krab in Bikini Bottom. And of course no one can forget the almighty gary the snail. He is also outstanding at making Krabby patties.

For This week We are reading a story called the Stag. And for this task we had to Make a Trap so that we didn't have to kill animals this is my Trap.

Reading Task W6

For Reading this week we are not reading a story we a learning about Dung beetles. Never heard of them bet you heard of this Poo Dung = poo. our task was to learn about dung Beetles and then we had tasks to complete. we had to post three of the activities to the blog so far I only have one but in the next few days I will be adding more.
This was the task of Making a diagram of how the Dung beetles made the Dung into dung balls.
This diagram shows the Beetle finds some dung and then it starts to roll it to make a ball after that they would bury it under ground

This is A Comic strip of a life of a Dung beetle First they find Dung and Drink The Water out of it then They roll it up into a ball then the male will find a mate and then the female will lay on the top of the dung while the male rolls it then the male will dig a whole and put the dung in there and the female lays eggs and puts in on top of the dung

W4 reading Work

For reading we are reading a nonfiction book called a bit of a bang. So our task was to make a bunker that was volcano proof. and this is my one.

Something I enjoyed was drawing the pictures 
Something I didn't like was getting ideas 

Flower Printmaking

WALT explore different printmaking conventions

For IL we have been Learning about printmaking. So our task was to learn about our national flower and then draw it. Once you did that you had to trace the Leaves, pettels and other things and you have to cut them out and put it one a piece of paper. Then when done your new flower should have 3 layers. Then you have to start doing the art part you have to get the rollers and roll the colours on the flower you have made when finish it should look like this. 

When you did that and you covered your flower with the ink. You should then get a piece of paper and test to see if it works well this is my practise copy.

When you have done your practise copy you can do it on a good paper. Something I found difficult was trying to get ink into the middle. You can see in the middle and outsides there isn't a lot of ink. but here is my good copy 

I did six of the good copy's, and here are all of them together 

W3 Reading Work

This week we are reading a story called the Big Jump and it is a Fiction story. So our task was to make a Very Scary Flying fox. Because in the story the kid named Big Daddy was too scared to go down the flying fox.

Psalms Poster

For Morning Prayers we have been praying a different way we would look at a Psalm then we would choose a verse and we make our own Psalms with all the verses combined so for Reading we had to take our Psalms and make a poster this is my one.

Apostrophes

In class we were learning about apostrophes so I learned and I made a poster
so then others can learn to.

Comic Strip

WALT Ask Questions before during and after reading to focus my understanding

For reading we had to read the book reckless and from the story the main charter was Kane. In class we are fish in a tree and in the story the teacher's name is Mr Danial's and he is a nice teacher so we had to make a comic strip of a conversation of Mr Danial's and Kane.

Six

In class for our reading group task we had to get a text from the book and guess what happens next.

 We arrive at the party on time laughing and noisy we give Hannah her presents and her enormous card… I feel Like Hannah is annoyed with me I’m sort of bored with her we don’t hang around anymore and it is getting boring were still friends but were have been friends for along time now so Yeah.

Reason's Why cross country is good
