Camp Media

 For cyber-smart we have been learning about different media such as articles movies videos news and others.

Our task was to make our own article and make it about something that happend at school so i did camp since we had camp recently I really enjoyed making the ad's I think that was my favourite part my least favourite party was trying to make my own URL thing

Pirate Venn Diagram

For topic our task was to learn about the different jobs on the ship, example captain,quartermaster. once we learned about the different jobs we had to make a Venn diagram on the jobs that are on the sea and the ones that are on land. on the left is land and on the right is sea, in the middle is both so the job operates in the sea and in land. If i was to choose a job it would be the captain because you cant to demand stuff and your crew relies on you to be a good captain.

Pirates Timeline

Hello, Today We got the task on learning about famous pirates(because our topic for the term is Pirates) we had to research about them then make a timeline. I did three pirates Calico Jack, Anne bonny and Black beard. Hope you like it.

Pirate Cipher Wheel

This term for topic we are learning about pirates, our first task was to learn about cipher wheels which is a thing to use to make code, we also had to learn about the ceaser code to learn how to use the cipher wheel this is what the cipher wheel looks like this

When using a cipher wheel first you need to know what you want to code, say you want to code Hello you would have to make a code, example- b4 then you would turn it and face it to b4 then from there you see where the h e l l o is so if h was number 14 you would write 14( which means h) then add 8 would be e then 14,8 then l which would be 11 then its then u would be 21 again because of the o now 

this is hello > 14,8,11,11,21 <

Jesus Baptism Timeline

For RE we had to learn about Jesus's baptism and we had to watch three videos of what happens when Jesus got baptised, for example after Jesus got baptised he felt the holy spirit inside of him so he went to the desert. this is my timeline about Jesus's journey

I enjoyed making this timeline because it is something different its not the same old google drawing or slide. something i struggled with was trying to find the right pictures because some of them where hard to find. something i didn't enjoy is that you cant have a lot of writing in my description so some of the descriptions don't make sense( its because i couldn't make it make sense)

News Report of Jesus's Baptism

For RE. We are studying about Jesus when he got baptised we had to watch some videos and read some text then we had to make a news report on Jesus's baptism, we had to include who what where and how. This is my news report about Jesus's  baptism.

Jesus arrived at Galilee to get baptised by john, but john says that Jesus should baptise Him, but Jesus says that john has to baptise him, then john says fine

 and Jesus got baptised then he rose from the water then he felt the holy spirit come in him.

 After that he saw Heaven open up and God appeared in the clouds and he said This is my son who I love with him. I am pleased.

Matariki DLO

For Reading we are learning about Matariki, which is the Maori new year. for our task we had to read 4 passages about Matariki then we had to make a DLO and post it to our blogs.

I really enjoyed making this DLO because i got to make my own gif on the matariki stars
(I used Tall tweets) you can try it also. Sadly when I published my DLO my gif didn't work so i linked it so you can see it

For Reading we are learning about poha which is something that Maori people used in the old days.

CERR Tokens

This week Miss Wilton introduced something special CERR tokens, CERR stands for our school values Compassion Excellence Responsibility and Respect. Whenever we show one of these values we get a token, token's can be used to buy food from the CERR Cafe which the year 8's are running. You can buy Hot chocolate, Toast Lollies, Cereal, Nuts and Bars. Different food cost different tokens for example if you want toast with
nutella(which is my favourite) costs 1 token, or you could save for 20 tokens and Mr Norman will shout you free lunch which will be very hard to save for when you can buy other things. Here is what one token looks like

For Writing we were making pick a path story I chose one of my favourite childhood cartoon Tom and Jerry, We had to make it with google Forms Hope you like it.

Anzac Wreath

For Anzac I made a Anzac Wreath out of Egg cartons, It was very easy to make. I made it to remember those who went to the war to fight for New Zealand and Australia.

Anzac Biscuts

For Anzac I made some Anzac biscuits to remember the soldiers that went to the war. It was a very easy thing to make, here is a picture of me mixing the mixture

It was really yummy, and it only took around 15- 20min
